Event Description:
Don't miss the first Master Builders General Membership Meeting of 2022 presented by Tacoma Dodge! All members are encouraged to attend. This evening event will feature networking and association news. We also will be joined by some of our Master Builder Association Pierce County partners including:
Pierce County Skills Center
Skills Centers are designed to provide regional, career-specific, preparatory programs that are typically not available at local high schools. Specifically, the Construction Trades program at PCSC is a pre-apprenticeship program designed to teach entry-level construction skills and knowledge, covering residential and commercial construction with an emphasis on job site safety. The goal is to prepare students for direct entry into the workforce, apprenticeships, and post-secondary education by meeting rigorous academic and industry standards.
Through our partnership with the Master Builders, we intend to create a workforce pipeline for employers; a seamless post-high school transition for students. Plans are underway to host a Workshop on Wednesday, March 16th to provide employers the opportunity to learn more about PCSC, learn from students about their experience and preparation, and future ways to collaborate with our instructors.
Habitat for Humanity
Master Builders Association of Pierce County is partnering with Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a low-to moderate-income family at Habitat's Fern Hill neighborhood in East Tacoma. Master Builder members have contributed in-kind goods and services as well as cash financing to make this home possible. The first walls of the home will be/were raised on January 12th, 2022. The project should be completed in May or June. The home is intended for Kevin and Chansorya and their four daughters. In a thank you to Master Builders, Chansorya says: "We will be able to create a safe haven for our family, a place where we can continue to appreciate what we have and cherish the moments we encounter along the way."
We will also be raffling off a pair Seattle Kraken tickets -- don't miss your chance to win!

There is a parking lot behind the event space. You will want to use S Puget Sound Ave to access it. The spaces say reserved for the venue and our use. Once those spaces are filled please use the street parking.
