CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid taught per the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) standards. Instruction includes training in adult, child, and infant skills in a practical hands-on format. Skills assessed and practiced during the training include: cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), choking, control of bleeding and managing shock, sudden illness, and environmental emergencies. Each attending will receive a student handbook and certification card valid for two years. The class is 4-hours in length, and the person must be able to attend the entire session in order to obtain the certificate for CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid.
